Seventeen staples

Well, I've been gone for quite some time but I promise I will not abandon you again.

I like a lot of other bloggers currently am trying to go cruelty free with my cosmetics. One brand that have made this a lot easier is Seventeen. Why I hear you ask? Well Seventeen are super affordable and available from most Boots stores. Winner I know.

One reason I love Seventeen so much is they do an extra fair concealer, yes you read that right!  I'm one of those ghost like people who could blend into a white wall. This concealer is a life saver honestly. I used to use the Urban Decay Naked concealer in fair neutral and it was amazing but I think the Seventeen stay time actually beats it! Plus it's a fraction of the price. Three reasons I love this product; Number one, the colour match I've never had a concealer that matches me as well as this does. ( thank you so much seventeen I'm sending you a huge virtual hug for this.) Number 2, it stays all day no  budging so I never stress that I look tired ever!  Number 3, it's price you can not go wrong! (Please ignore that mine still has plastic on the bottom bit I'm so bad at getting it off Hahaha.)

The other two products I love are two of there mascaras. Number one and probably my ultimate is Doll'd up, this is a game changer. I love big dolly looking eyes as I've very round eyes anyway and this product lives up to its name perfectly. I'm not going to lie I go for products based on their name, if it has a cute name I'll buy it. It doesn't always work out for me but luckily this did. I'd compare it to the benefit Roller lash but again I think it's better it's beautifully curved wand and spiked bristles gives you such gorgeous lift and separation the lashes look natural, fluttery and full. Everyone needs this baby in there life. Pair the concealer and mascara and bobs your uncle you're bright eyed and bushy tailed and ready to take on the world.

There other mascara that I love is Falsifeye. This gives the impression of False lashes if you want that dramatic eyelash look, then this ones for you. It gives perfect separation and glamour. This is the perfect night time mascara. I'm not crazy about the packaging on this one but it's true that it's what's on the inside that counts and well this is pretty damn good!

As I whole I love seventeen and Im super tempted to try their new highlighting concealer and Easy on the Eye palette as both look incredibly beautiful and are super affordable. (When I say tempted this probably means I'll buy them tomorrow before work.)  Seventeen I salute you! You've got us pasty pants girls covered and concealed and I love y'all lots for that!

Lots of love,

My top five mascaras from budget to branded.

Guess who's back, back again Leanne's back tell a friend. I'm back forever now with at least one post a week from now on and that's a promise.
Let's just get to the post, I'm a mascara hoarder I have about 20 in my house this is not a over statement and I thought I'd share my favourites with you, I really love the big doll eye look so these mascaras will all help you achieve this look so let's go.
My first favourite mascara comes in at just £3.30 yes, £3.30 and it's brilliant it's Essence Lash Princess false lash effect. This stuff for the price is just incredible you will need a eyebrow come and brush your lashes through after but the end result is stupidly incredible my lashes look false and huge it's a thing of complete beauty and the best bit it's cruelty free. If you're in the Uk get to Wilkos and pick it up you will not regret it. Also it features the word princess so it's a no brainer right?!
Next up we have Seventeen Doll'd up, this is the perfect dupe for Roller Lash and it could actually be even better than Roller lash this will give you such a natural flutter and make your eyes look so big and doll like I have about 3 of these on the go because I can't be without it! You'll love this and it come in at under £7 which is a third of Roller lash so if you're wanting to try it buy this first you won't regret it!

Next is a mascara that's raved about constantly, you've probably guessed it's Lash Sensational it's amazing another dupe for Roller Lash. This gives you perfect separated lashes so much so that I've had people compliment my lashes when I use this! You can pick this
up from any Drugstore or I've seen it in Savers for £5.
Next is something I've mentioned in this its several times now you've guessed it, it's Roller Lash I've done a whole post on this in the past just know it's beautiful but expensive.
Lastly was what we shall call Leanne's moment of complete weakness when she sees the words doll eyes and spends a large amount of money. That's rights it's LancĂ´me Doll eyes. This is the most intense black mascara I've ever used it gives you the most perfect doll like lashes that stays put all day. However there is one downside to this mascara it smells like roses. Some people may love this but me personally nope it's not my cup of tea and you can smell it for ages I just don't understand why you'd want scented lashes but hey ho.
That's my favourite mascaras for you lovely lot let me know yours or if there's any mascaras you think I should try.

All my love

Snow Fairy season.

So I'm back after my hiatus. Because well its Snow Fairy season and blogmas. As a lush employee I get to get into the festive spirt super early, I'm practically Buddy the elf as of November 1st. But my very favourite product since I got into Lush has always been and will always be Snow Fairy. This sugary sweet shower gel is my signature scent and to my absolute dismay it only stays around until Christmas, so I have to stock up for a year with about 2 litres. It has beautiful blue sparkles and is the most stunning pink colour.
So imagine my face when I went to the Birminghan store and saw litre bottles. Yes litre bottles. It is bigger than my face  . I think this year the shower gel somehow smells fresher than ever before the smell is peardrops and candyfloss . I even brought the perfume from the kitchen yesterday so I'll smell so sugary sweet all year round. This year you can even pair it with Fairy Dust which is a beautifully sparkley dusting powder the two paired together leave the smell on your skin all day long.
Now here's a few ways to use your snow fairy shower gel:
Obviously it's a shower gel that's its main use.
You can wash your hair with this beauty and waft your hair around for constant snow fairy smells all day.
As bubble bath yes this works amazingly as your bubble bath too.
Over all this is the greatest product lush ever do. EVER!
What's your favourite lush festive product?

It's Orla About My Shoes.

As I'm writing this I'm still slightly in a state of shock. I now own the most perfect shoes on the planet. The Orla Kiely Abigail's from Clarks. I've been desperately wanting a pair of Orla Kiely shoes ever since she first paired with Clarks and the current collection is the last she's ever doing. So I just bit the bullet and bought them, at £130 they aren't cheap but if I didn't buy them I would of regretted it for the longest time and as I'd worked a bit extra I thought maybe now was the time to buy them.

They are the single comfiest shoes I've ever worn due to the memory foam insole. The heel is quite high being 5'7 in height anyway I'll probably be about 6 foot tall but I'm happy to be that tall for these shoes. However you don't feel like you're walking in heels that high as they're platforms. Everything about these shoes is utter perfection the front has a cute flower detail, the heel is a snake skin effect even down to the sole which has the classic Orla style print.
They are smart enough for workwear and casual enough to wear everyday even though I look like a giant in them! Like I said I'm in shock that they're mine and for a while I didn't wear them and just stared at them in awe. Is that weird, that's probably really weird well done Leanne well done. But every outfit I pair them with I just look down and think my shoes are on point.
I'm thinking of maybe doing a look book with them in please let me know if you'd like to see that.

My everyday eye make up.

My everyday eye look is something that's very easy to do but super effective. On an everyday basis such as for uni I don't really bother with eyeshadow as I usually get up slightly to late and I prefer eyeshadow for night anyway. But if I want a subtle day time look I've been reaching for my Fleur De Force eyeshadow quad I've got the pinkyer one of the two available quads and I adore it. Especially the first colour of the quad which is a ballet slippers kind of colour which is super sweet and helps make your eye colour pop without being to strong.
The first thing I reach for in a morning is concealer. It's just a instant wake up, the one I've been reaching for more and more recently is the Seventeen Stay time Concealer in extra fair which is like a little slice of heaven for me. To be able to find an amazing concealer that stays on and is pale enough for me but is also brightening was an absolute blessing and I could of cried in the middle of boots when I found it! But the coverage and lasting power are incredible and the fact they do extra pale was the icing on the cake.
Next up we have eyeliner, now I'm a liquid eyeliner lover and my go to has always been and will always be the Rimmel glam eyes it stays on all day and is super black it's brilliant and doesn't break the bank.
The other eyeliner I love to use is the Maybelline Big Eyes in Nude/black. I don't go a day without have a nude liner in my waterline it helps the eyes pop, look wider and more awake without being a super harsh like a white liner. This is the best nude liner I've used and I recommend it to everyone.
Lastly the finishing factor is my mascara. My mascara of choice at the moment is Maybelline Lash Sensational I'm on my second tube of this little beauty and have bought my third ready. I honestly don't think I could be without it anymore it's the best mascara I've ever used my eyes look wider and it gives so much volume and length. It's perfect for that doll eyed look. Don't hesitate with this one just buy it. I also adore the lilac coloured packaging on this product.

Let me know your go to products for your eyes or anything you think I should try.

Don't look at me facemask.

I've fallen head over heels in love with wait for it Don't look at me, wanted my Damien moment there. (Cue beautiful from Xtina there.) But this facemask is a thing of complete and utter beauty, granted when it's on you'll be blue dabadedabadie. It's full of murumuru butter and leaves your skin feeling silky soft and carries on working its magic after you've taken the mask off. There's  also lemon to tone the skin and neroli to brighten. My skin has never ever looked as good as it does since I've been using this little beauty and I don't think I'll ever stray away.

You'll need to leave it for a good half an hour or at least until it's completely dry to get the complete benefits of this beauty so it's a very indulgent product so if you want a good in bath mask here's your treat. The first time I ever used it I only kept it on for ten minutes or so and I felt it didn't do a lot but the second time I tried it that was it was the best thing since sliced bread.  It's also very scrubby so gives you a bit of exfoliation too. I remove my mask with a warm damp flannel as it helps with the scrub. My skin looks and feels so much fresher and brighter when I've used this. With it being a fresh mask it lasts for 3 weeks at the price of £6.50. I got 4 full face masks out of one pot which I thought was pretty good going.
I'm going back tomorrow to purchase another pot as I need some more in my life right now.
Let me know if you've tried it if not you really should!

Skinnydip Simpsons Shake.

So if there's one thing I really love its novelty bags, they just give that pop of fun to every outfit. They're also a brilliant conversation starter. One of the best brands for these bags and probably my favourite is Skinnydip I really adore this brand, I've got quite a few of their bags and phonecases my current phone case being a chubby unicorn one I mean who doesn't love chubby unicorns? So imagine my absolute joy when I realised they were pairing up with my favourite cartoon The Simpsons.
I couldn't not pick something up from the line (I could of gotten all of it.) I bought the Krusty Shake bag because who doesn't want a pink sparkly bag shaped like a cup. The bag itself is really quite spacious and only cost me £24 ( thank you 25% off student discount) it's such a cute, quirky and statement piece I can't wait to style it with my outfits. It has a gorgeous gold cross body strap and the cutest straw feature. I'm beyond excited to use this little beauty.  Skinnydip always do amazing quality products and are defiantly the go to brand for any novelty bag lovers. They're super quick with their postage all in all I love this brand and I love this bag.

Berry lips Bandwagon.

I've been gone for a little bit I've been preparing for uni and so on, so I'm so sorry guys. But whilst I've been gone I've jumped on a very big bandwagon it's the Rimmel Kate Moss lipstick in 107. This is a very dark berry shade it's a red based berry shade though, now we all know that I'm a pasty pants so I've always shyed away from bold lips because it's something I didn't think would suit me. But as I stood in Superdrug staring intensely as this berry shade lipstick something came over me and just said buy it Leanne buy it now! So whatever that was I caved in and brought it but I was so glad I did, the first time I saw the colour was so queen Zoella on her it looked simply stunning. At £5.49 it wasn't an overly expensive gamble. As I've said before on my blog I adore the Kate Moss lipstick in 38 the formulation of them sits so well and they're extremely pigmented. However 107 is a matte shade but doesn't feel at all dry on the lips which is always a big worry for me as I have super dry lips. With being. Matte shade it's also super long wearing as it wears it gets more purpley when it's at its reddest it's my Snow White shade I adore it and it's defaintly going to be my autumn go to lipstick.
I promise I'll be back on my blog plan starting today pinky promise. Let me know of any lipsticks you think I should try.

One pound lipsticks to buy or to buy?

Firstly, here's my I'm sorry I abandoned you bit. I've been away for a week because well I've started YouTube http://youtu.be/qnHiid9yCr8 please come and say hi. I've been really focusing on that and forgotten about you and for that I'm truly sorry please forgive me. But let's start back with make up Monday. I, like most girls love a bargain once you've found a good one it's the greatest thing since sliced bread. ( I've never understood that saying but it's apt right now.) So I've been checking out some very budget lipsticks a pound each to be exact. I've done a bit of a superdrug splurge and bought 4 one pound lipsticks amoungest everything else I got.
These are the shades I've picked up we have two from MUA and two from Make up Revolution. The top two are Make up Revolution and the bottom two are MUA.

What can I say about them? The lilac MUA one is matte and has really good staying power on the lips and doesn't feel dry result! I've been after a lilac lipstick for the longest time but one that doesn't make me look like a corpse because we all know I'm Caspers the friendly ghosts cousin trust me I'm that pale. This does the trick and does it well and for a pound well you can't go wrong.
Downsides to this product number one-it takes a lot of layering to get the colour payoff, number two- the lipstick is starting to bend in the packaging because of how hard it is to get on and number three-I really dislike the packaging it looks cheap. But at a pound what can I expect?
So would I repurchase this? Yes yes I would.
My other MUA lipstick is in the Shade 11. This lipstick is the perfect autumnal colour for a pale girl. It's a deep brown but with red tones and it's so pretty on the lips it looks dark but not stupidly dark. It's so wearable I feel like screaming "where have you been all my life?!" This is super long wearing,a stunning shade, feels really moisturising on the lips and for a pound I will be getting many many more of this little beauty. Downsides for this are for a while you can feel it on your lips but once you're past that then you'll be super happy with this beauty even the packaging is more chic on the non matte lipsticks.
Will I repurchase this? You can bet your bottom dollar I will.

Now to the Make up Revolution lipsticks you all know my love for this brand I'd sing it from the rooftops if I could.
There lipsticks are no different the top one is called mystify which is a beautiful corally red shade with a shimmer it's stunning on and looks a lot more expensive than it is, as does shade 11. The packaging on the Make up revolution lipsticks is super sleek it's black with Rose gold lettering and it's just insert heart eyes emoji here. I have a love for Rose gold I don't know if you guys know.
This shade is a real winner in my eyes and I'd repurchase again for sure. Now as for cheer it's a pretty pastel pink with a silvery blue shimmer. Looks wise for me this shade is a winner I love a pink lip it's just so girly and sweet. Although this one has a few downsides it takes a lot to get a colour payoff and  the glitter feels slightly drying but it's nothing that can't be sorted my lipbalm though. So although it's not as stunning as mystify I'd buy it again.
So my bargain hunting was a success everything I got was cheap as chips (I hope you get what I did there). I'll definitely be trying more from both of these brands lipstick wise because they're pretty great.

My travel make up bag.

So it's supposed to be make up Monday again I had trouble uploading so sorry guys, time is really starting to flyby. I keep a make up bag in my bag all the time in case of an emergency and I thought I'd share what's in there with you so here we go.

First and for most my travel make up bag is the cutest. If you've read my July favourites I'm guessing you'll be noticing that I have a stash of Disney make up bags. It's a bad habit but hey they're cute. I carry this Little Mermaid Makeup bag everywhere because its oil cloth material for a start and if you're like me o spill stuff in my bag all the time, it's not to big but it's spacious enough for what I need it for and lastly it was only £2.50 from Primark so I don't mind if it gets bashed about. Now let's take a look inside shall we?
What a shock guys it's Make up Revolution! Not like I talk about their products every make up Monday. Seriously though guys they're probably my favourite make up brand. This is there Iconic Blush, Bronze and Brighten in the shade Smoulder. This is perfect for carrying around as the blush is super  pigmented, the highlight is a stunning champagne glow only downside is I don't use bronzer I'm skin tone vampire and bronzer just makes me look dirty.
Oh my goodness this concealer is perfect. I also know that I talk about concealer a lot but I'm always looking for different concealers to try and this one , well this one is probably one of the best colour matches I've found. It's the Rimmel Match Perfection in Ivory. This concealer also has highlighting properties so it makes you look super awake, no more dark circles for Leanne. Hooray. It's quite a liquidy consistency so probably not the best for oily skin.
Benefit Roller Lash mascara. Guys I've you've been here for a while you'll know my love for this little beauty. If like me your eyes are wide and round this little beauty is for you. It's everything amd more you'll need in a mascara it gives you that doll eye look which is what I'm always after in my mascara.
Nude eyeliner, this is probably one of my holy grail products. I always wear a nude liner it gives you that super wide eyed doll look. It's all about the big eyes for me so this will never leave my make up bag ever. This one is a Rimmel one and it's super long lasting.
I'm always wearing liquid liner and this has been the one I've used since I started wearing liquid liner. It's the Rimmel glam eyes and it's super easy to apply and lasts all day.
Lastly it's my lip products that are always with me. I love Burts bees lip products they're super hydrating and the coloured balms give amazing colour pay off and amazing hydration which is always a plus in my books. I also always carry a lip colour with me and at the moment that's the Maybelline Colour Drama in Minimalist it's a pretty pink with a bit of sparkle and it's just the perfect everyday colour that can be taken into the night
Let me know what's in your travel bag?

OOTD-Bulldogs and Bow ties.

Leanne are you blogging on a Thursday?! Why yes, yes I am. It's only a super quick post today. I wanted to share my outfit with you guys.
Today I'm going full Kawaii school girl chic. I love cutesy outfits and this is definitely one of my favourites. I'm wearing a pinafore dress that I've had for ages and picked up from a charity shop for like £1.49 or something stupid like that I adore it though I get so much wear out of it. Next up we have my French Bulldog shirt which is from Lovestruck this shirt is one of my favourite things I own it's such a twist on a white shirt and I love it so so much. I'm also sporting what has become a kind of staple Leanne item which is a bow tie this is just a hair clip that I slide across my shirts and well it does the trick I have so many different ones but black and white and spotty will do for today.
My socks are just typical frilly socks from Primark and that's also where I get my tights if anyone is interested. Last but not least are my shoes. These are probably my most prized possession they are a pair of vintage loafers I picked up from Camden a few years ago I only paid £15 for them they're real leather and perfection. No modern shoes could ever match up to these beauties.
They've slightly scuffed at the front but that just adds to the charm.
Please come and say hi to me over on Facebook just type in Collars and Frills on the search bar and leave me a comment and if you're feeling super lovely even a like but I'd love to say hi to you!

Lipstick matching my clothing.

I've got into a habit I'm not sure if it's good or bad, but it's a habit none the less. I've starting buy lipsticks to match my clothing exactly. So it's wardrobe Wednesday here but this kind of classes as wardrobe no? Loosely? Maybe? Anyway it's a habit I've got into
recently. It started with my Revlon lip butter in Tutti Fruti as it matched my Next off the shoulder floaty top colour wise too a tee. This top and lip combo and perfection of summer as they're such a pretty orange colour.  The top was the bargain price of £16 and has been my summer wardrobe must with jeans for those typical warm but not UK days.
Next up is what I call my Snow White combo, Snow is one of my favourite Disney princesses so it's nice to pay a bit of a homage to her from time to time. Here I'm wearing my Primark dress which I got around Christmas time and Lush lipstick in Strong. This as the name is a very bold colour as it's a strong statement lip. It's a very orangey red which is perfect for me.
I used to really shy away from bright lips but I've had a massive change of heart as of late and I adore them now.
Please let me know if you do this as well buying a colour to match one item of clothing and it's not just me being odd.

The Best High Street Blushes.

So, as some of you may know I'm a
sucker for blush. I really don't think make up looks complete with blush. I'm going to talk about my very favourite high street blushes. I'm extremely girly, extremely girly so a lot of these are pinks just as a warning.
I'm in love with sleek blushes, they're literally the single best high street blushes . I have a bunch of these including the palletes but my two stand out blushes have to be Rose Gold, now I'm an avid YouTube watcher and every youtuber went crazy over this blush calling it a NARS dupe but the pigment in this is crazy good and the colour is so beautiful when the light hits it and reflects the gold you look like a radiant Disney princess. This is the blush I probably get the most compliments on as it's just simply stunning. They also are super long lasting I've had this for almost a year and I'm nowhere near pan.
The other stand out colour for me is Pixie Pink. Now in the pan this is a super Barbie pink which too many people would be very daunting to put it bluntly but when it's on it gives such a sweet pink glow. It looks like the glow you get when you've just stepped outside on a icy cold day. You really don't need a lot of this again which will show in my photograph they're so soft and silky smooth to they're the perfect blush and everyone needs to try at least one and at £4.49 there's not really an excuse now is there. (As you can probably tell I'm the worse person to shop with I'm just like yeah get it get it now!)
Next up we have a brand everyone knows I love. Can you guess?! It's Make-Up Revolution. They do blush palletes for just £6 oh yes. £6 that is all for 8 blushes and the pigmentation in these blushes is just perfection. I've got 2 palletes I have the Sugar and Sweet Pallete which is full of pretty pinks and pastel highlights making it so sweet. I love this Pallete and use it constantly. Only down side is they're pretty massive which isn't ideal for travelling but is just perfect for home.
I also have the All About the Cream Pallete which is full of cream blushes. There's a very wide variety of colours on the palette and I've been mostly wearing the deep red shade as it slightly makes me feel like Snow White as its so cute and rosy literally the cutest colour as you look like you're blushing as deep as it looks in the pan it really isn't on the skin.
It also has contor colours too but I don't really contor as I'm extremely pale and when I try I just look slightly dirty, lovely image there I know but it's the truth.

Lastly we have another cream blush, I've talked about this before on here its the Bourjois cream blush in Rose Tender this again is a pretty pink natural flush. It's so beautiful on the cheeks. Please don't judge me by how mine looks as I use it a lot and I've tried to tidy it up but it's pretty hard. This blush with a highlight looks so sweet and is the look I go for most days now.

Those are my very favourite blushes available on the high street. Let me know if there is any other blushes you think I should give a whirl. Also sorry for my lack of posts last week I had a few days away in London. So keep your eyes peeled for something new and very different coming from Collars and Frills in the next few weeks. It's very exciting! Let me know what you think it could be. Also come and say hello to me on Facebook just type in Collars and Frills on the search bar and say hi on my page even give me a like if you're feeling lovely.

July Favourites.

Here's the obligatory how is it August thing, but seriously how is it August! Where's the month gone,I don't even know. July has been a pretty busy month for me but there has been some very stand out favourites for me so let's get cracking.
Number one; I've graduated I'm officially a university graduate this was defiantly my favourite thing of the month and possibly of the year. I've graduated Drama, Performance and Theatre Arts with a 2:1. It was the best day I've had in a long time and my dress was also a favourite of the month I wore a Ted Baker Tea dress which is super summery and super lovely. I am however going back to Universty in September for another year to train to be a teacher. EXCITING.
Number 2; I've fallen head over heels in love with a food snack this month. It's crazy how much I love these. Mint M&Ms now if you're from America these probably aren't a treat to you but here in the UK they're super hard to find. But I found them in B&M for 69p I think I bought my local B&M out of them if I'm honest I've ate a lot this month, they're just so tasty.
Next up we're going into normal Collars and Frills territory with cutesy things and this little beauty is from Primark. The place of the dreams (well sometimes). There were three things that drew me to this number one its pastel pink and cream, number two it's Disney it's no secret I'm a huge Disney fan and lastly number three it's a make up bag are you quite prepared for what is probably the cutest most adorable make up bag in history.
Just look at it I want to cry at how cute it is and it looks perfect on my desk. Best thing about this little cutie though it was £3.

Lastly,we have a Make-up favourite, well it's a duo make up favourite which I have used every single day of July I think. Literally I have fallen I love with this pairing.I don't wear foundation, so I've been on the hunt for a long lasting blusher and highlighter duo and I've finally found. This makes me happier than it probably should but it's the Make Up Revolution highlighter in Peach Lights and the Bourjois Cream Blush in 03 these two together is like a match made in cheek heaven.

I have the Highlighter pallete which comes in at just £8 it's perfect though and worth every single penny. Not that it's a lot any way.
That's everything I've been loving this month. Let me know what you've been loving this month. Also quick question if I started YouTube would you guys watch? Please let me know.
